What is school district time tracking software?
It is the system a district uses to record when hourly staff start and finish work, turn those punches into timesheets, and hand the hours to payroll. Tocko does that with a tablet in each building. Staff tap in with a PIN or a badge, hours add themselves up by week, and an admin reviews the week and exports it.
Who actually uses it inside a school?
Everybody paid by the hour, which in most districts is the majority of staff: bus drivers, custodians and maintenance, food service, paraprofessionals and aides, front office staff, after school program staff, and substitutes. Tocko is built so somebody who has never been issued a district email address can still clock in.
Do we have to buy time clock hardware?
No. Tocko runs in a browser, so a spare iPad, a Chromebook, or somebody's phone will do. A tablet registered to a building opens straight on the punch screen and stays there. If you would rather staff did not type a PIN, a printed QR badge and the device camera are enough, and staff cards on a reader work too. Both badge options are off until a super admin turns them on.
How do hours get to payroll?
Punches roll up into weekly timesheets on their own. One screen then lists everything that week cannot settle by itself, a forgotten clock-out, a shift the system closed, a week nobody punched at all, and an admin answers each one and exports CSV, PDF or JSON for your payroll system. There is no separate reconciliation step and no spreadsheet to rebuild every Friday.
Can one district cover several campuses?
Yes. One subscription covers the whole organization, with unlimited devices, so every building runs its own kiosk registered under its own name. Review is district wide rather than per campus: admin and super admin are organization level roles today, so an admin reviews every building rather than only theirs, though the week and the punch log can both be filtered to one campus.
How much does time tracking for a school district cost?

Is it accessible for every employee?
It has to be, because clocking in is how people get paid. We build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and an automated accessibility check runs across the product on every change, the kiosk included, with a failure stopping the release rather than filing a note for later. Badge sign in is there so nobody is forced to memorize and retype a PIN, which is what WCAG 2.2 asks for. The accessibility statement names the tools, claims partial conformance, is a self assessment rather than a third party audit, and lists exactly what is not yet covered.
How long does it take to set up?
Sign up, add your staff, register a device. Most schools are punching the same day. There is no training to schedule, because the punch screen is a keypad and nothing else: staff type their PIN, and Tocko works out from the last punch whether that means arriving or leaving.
